Whitney Houston "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" Live Experience!
“I Wanna Dance with Somebody”, is the musical drama highlighting the rise of Whitney Houston and chronicles performances that propelled her iconic voice to international fame in the 1980s. Making her the "Queen of Pop" and one of the greatest singers of all time.
In honor of Whitney Houston and her legendary talent, SonyPicture hosted “I WANNA DANCE WITH SOMEBODY”, a pop-up experience showcasing exclusive moments from the film and Whitney Houston's phenomenal career. This exclusive behind-the-scenes installation event was held on Saturday, December 10th.

Content creators, fans, social media managers, and publishers were in attendance. During an interview with The Reel Effect, Emma Rogers, social media manager for Primary Wave, stated, “I work on the Whitney Houston publishing teams, and I hope this free interactive pop-up will inspire and motivate fans to check out the film. I am honored and happy to have been part of this vocal music project.”
The event was open to Whiney Houston fans and supporters. It was lively, alive, and pleasant. The backdrops at the venue were pink, yellow, and bright colors, the fans were excited and happy to be there. There was a section that featured Whitney Houston's iconic red-carpet dresses and several covers from her released albums over the years. Additionally, this was a great opportunity for aspiring artists, singers, and songwriters to network and pay tribute to Whitney's impactful contribution to the music industry.

The standout iconic scenes curated for this event were moments like Houston's "I Will Always Love You" music video, with her sitting the chair in the snow. Along with her iconic Super Bowl national anthem performance in 1991, which was played everywhere. The recording of the performance hit the Billboard charts and stayed there for 11 weeks after the performance.
This was an iconic experience. Whiney Houston’s voice and her undeniable talent will always remain among its fans and admirers, as we continue to celebrate and highlight her greatness. "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" is scheduled for release on December 23, 2022.
