Insecure Season Three Cast "Where Are They Now?"

With each episode of the final season of Insecure dropping we know we are closer and closer to the end of an era. Which is bittersweet but also makes us reminisce on what Issa Rae and the cast and crew have left us with. That's why we went back to season three of the series to see what some of our favorite actors are up to now. See the list below and let us know who some of your favorite characters are from season three.

Elle Lorraine - Trina

One of the wildest and most vocal characters, after our favorite Kelly of course is probably Issa D's neighbor, Trina. Played by Elle Lorraine, Trina, is a single mother who loves a good time and isn't afraid to get Issa to attend to one of her crazy requests. Since starring in Insecure Lorraine has appeared in Netflix's Dear White People, BET's Boomerang, and HBO's Black Lady Sketch Show. She even starred in Hulu's Halloween hair fiasco Bad Hair alongside Vanessa Williams, Jay Pharoah, Kelly Rowland, and Ashley Blaine-Featherson.

Y'lan Noel - Daniel

One of Issa's most recurring love interests for the first three seasons was definitely Daniel. Some fans rooted for Issa and her lost love connection while others were heavy #teamlawrence stans. The actor who played Daniel, Y'lan Noel, continues to grace our screens. Noel stars in the comical Amazon movie, The Weekend, alongside Sasheer Zamata, DeWanda Wise, Tone Bell, and Kim Whitley. Y'lan Noel shared the screen again with some Insecure stars when he acted in The Photographer alongside Issa Rae and Lil Rel Howery, also starring Lakeith Stanford, Chante Adams, and Yaya Dacosta. Soon you'll be able to see him in the drama A Lot of Nothing, about a couple that takes drastic measures once they realize the police officer who murdered an unarmed motorist is their next door neighbor.

Neil Brown Jr. - Chad Kerr

The biggest player on Insecure is played by Neil Brown Jr. who you may have recognized from his work in Suits, The Walking Dead, or even his role as DJ Yella in Straight From Compton. Since being in Insecure he continues to play Ray Perry on CBS's SEAL Team. You can expect to see Brown in an upcoming thriller called The Knocking about, "a young man who tells his new girlfriend that he loves her for the first time - then finds himself next in line for a nightmarish curse that's claimed all those boyfriends who have come before him."

Jean Elie - Ahmal Dee

Outspoken and annoyingly truthful Ahmal, better known to us as Issa's little brother is played by Jean Elie. The actor's been staying busy recently appearing in Netflix's Colin In Black & White. As well as gaining a role in the modern-day adaptation of Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet called R#J. Deadline recently reported that AMC's streaming platform ALLBLK is developing Elie's television concept Send Help. The dark comedy series is a coming-of-age story about a first-generation Haitian American young man who's struggling with the challenges of “making it” in Hollywood, while also dealing with a family tragedy.

Wade Allain-Marcus - Derek DuBois

Derek DuBois the supportive husband to Tiffany DuBois and the right hand and homie to Lawrence is played by Wade Allain-Marcus. Since starring in Insecure in 2016 Allain-Marcus has starred in numerous television series including WASP, Grownish, and Leimert Park with his biggest role being Diego from Snowfall. He even appeared in his "wife's", Amanda Seales, web series Get Your Life! His most recent movie role is in Die In A Gunfight about a young man who falls in love with the daughter of his father's nemesis.
