Exclusive Interview: "A Holiday Chance" with Nafessa Williams, Richard Lawson, and Johnell Young

The Reel Effect loves highlighting new movies and television shows not only featuring people of color but created by them as well. This holiday season we sat down with the creator and leading lady of A Holiday Chance, Nafessa Williams, you may know her best from her kick-ass performances in The CW's Black Lighting. Williams decided to invest in herself in a new way this year, create her own opportunities, and produce a film. The Reel Effect speaks to Williams about the collaboration process for this holiday movie, and we also speak to featured stars Richard Lawson (For Colored Girls) and Johnell Young (Wu-Tang: An American Saga) about their roles in the film.
