       The historical portrayal of African people or the African continent in television commercials, films and advertisement has been despicable and biased. The views that are display about this population stem from the beliefs that originated from slavery. In American mainstream, the frequent depiction of the African continent will render people leaving in huts, gutter and walking around barefoot. That stereotypical image has ill and negative connotations that embody the idea that Westerners have about African people.
