Vanessa Simmons: Discusses BET Thriller "Deadly Entanglement" & Talks Personal Adversity

The Reel Effect founder, Meah Denee, recently had the pleasure of sitting down with talented actress and entrepreneur Vanessa Simmons. She currently stars in the BET thriller film Deadly Entanglement written by Camara Davis and Danial Nasser, and directed by Bobby Yan. The film features Simmons who portrays Tammy, a talented singer on the cusp of fame. Whose life takes a dark turn when her husband's ex-wife Deidra, played by Monica Calhoun, resurfaces with a vengeance. When Tammy's husband, Charles, past threatens to destroy her life, she must confront a dangerous game of obsession and deceit. With high-stakes drama, the movie delves into the sinister lengths one woman will go to reclaim her old life. The film displays a tale of ambition, betrayal, and survival, as Tammy fights to protect her future from a deadly entanglement with the past.
In our exclusive interview, Simmons opened up about her experience on set, the challenges she faced, and the valuable lessons she learned alongside her co-star, the remarkable Monica Calhoun. Being a part of the project Deadly Entanglement was more than just a film to Simmons. It was an opportunity to push her boundaries and come out of her comfort zone. She explained how the role demanded bold stunts and she was more than ready to take on the challenge!
